Happy Fall!

Posted on October 17th, 2015 in Uncategorized by anitars

It’s me Whisper! just wanted to let you know that I am feeling great! I am back to my old self (minus the walking) but everything else is pretty much the same

This has been a super busy month! First Grammy started into her second half of her century and we got cake and watched Avengers for her birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMY!

Last weekend was Canadian Thanksgiving and what an awesome weekend it was! FOOD! I love food!

On Saturday & Sunday Grammy did lots of cleaning and stuff and I scuttled around the house after her. (Scuttling is a combination of dragging my butt around and little hops) I still can’t walk well on three legs by myself and Grammy can’t help me when she is running around and cleaning. I like to hang around her when she is home on the weekends, sometimes we collide and Grammy calls me Jesus. sometimes she says other stuff but I like that one the best (sometimes Grammy has a potty mouth)

On Monday Grammy got up and started cooking and cooked a whole bunch of stuff while I stayed in my favourite place …. which is wherever Grammy is when she is cooking. Grammy had to keep reminding me where I am allowed to be when she is working in her kitchen, which is not as close to the food as I feel I should be.food I kept trying to remind her of reasons she should change the rules for me but she was  not convinced. (We have very different opinions on some things)

The best part of Thanksgiving is when Grampy cuts the turkey cuz  when Grammy is not looking he always tosses all the skin and odd shaped bits that do not go into the serving dish to us puppies.

Thanksgiving is an awesome holiday! I am thankful for FOOD and my mom, and  my whole fun family.

Grammy takes me for walks with the harness because the vet says I have to walk with my back leg properly straightened out. Apparently I am not using it properly when I scuttle around the house and my muscles are disappearing.

Grammy also made an appointment for me for Rehab, that sounds like work.  … “They tried to make me go to rehab But I said, “no, no, no” ….  Well I tried to say no, but again we disagree. Fortunately it is not until the end of the month so I have a little more time to chill. Right Grammy? right?

This is me on one of our walks. Grammy kind of lets me go where I want because it is much easier than trying to get me to go in the right direction. Grammy says I can be a very crochety, & stubborn old dog. Sometimes I go too far and then Uncle S or Aunty J have to come and hang out with me so Grammy can get the car to take me back home.

HAPPY FALL everyone! (and just to clarify I mean the season)

Have I told y ou lately that I love you Whisper?? Well, even if I have, it’s worth repeating non-stop! I LOOOOVE YOU WHISPER!!!

Your blogs, your attitude, and the attitude of your Grammy just delights me!

Whisper, I was so surprised to know you like an Amy Winehouse song! But don’t worry, the rehab you are going to is waaaaay different! I think you’ll really benefit from it! And maybe Grammy will take you thru a drive-thru after each session for a cheeseburger!

And as a little incentive for you, there is a tripawd member here who butt scooted like you! The sweet woman who adopted the tripawd worked with her, took her to rehap and physical therapy, and the doogy no longer butt scoots!

I really love the beautiful picture of you nestling among the Fall leaves. You are such a stunning doggy!

Thank you sooooooooop mich for updating us. I think about you a lot and always eagerly look for your blogs!

And just knowing you are happy and loved…yeah, melting my heart over here!!

    Lots of love!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMY!
    HAPPY TURKEY DAY EVERYONE!!
